Build notes for Shari
This mockup is the target for structure, copy and flow. It is not production code. Build it in WordPress using our existing components and forms.
What each page is for
Group training home: sell group training as a concept, then send each visitor to the right program. It has no trial form on purpose. Visitors who can't choose go to Jodi.
Program pages (4): sell that program and get the visitor to request a free first class with as little effort as possible. Each page reminds people they can explore other formats.
Not in this section: current group training clients (they book in the app or portal) and TribeKIDS (linked from a single line on the home page).
There is no section menu across the five pages, by design, to match how the rest of the CA site works. Paid advertising lands on the group training home page. Program pages each have links back to compare all programs.
Navigation
Question: if the main CA menu has dropdowns, should the four program pages be listed under Group Training there, the way other sub-pages are?
Placeholders to replace
- Welcome video: about 90 seconds with Jodi. Outline below.
- Photos: each placeholder names the shot needed. Together they are the shot list.
- Testimonials: two per program page, from current participants, first name and club.
- Forms: fields are final; submission handling is not built.
- Site header: links in the CA site header are placeholders and go nowhere in this mockup.
Decisions needed before launch
- The offer: one free class per person, or more? The copy says "your first class is on us."
- Response time: copy promises contact within two business days. Confirm Jodi can keep that.
- Member and non-member routing: does every request go to Jodi, and do non-member requests also alert the member advocates?
- Follow-up after the class: step 4 promises Jodi follows up. Confirm she, not the coach, owns this.
- Coverage: who answers requests when Jodi is out?
- Pricing: shown in a collapsed panel on program pages. Keep, or move to the FAQs only?
- Clubs: confirm which clubs run each program, so the club dropdown can be filtered per page.
- Move to Live More next step: confirm the copy about what happens after the four weeks.
- JumpStart: decide how the free JumpStart session for new members relates to the free class.
- Current registration form: it moves off the home page. Decide where it lives.
- Move to Live More length: Move to Live More is a four-week program, but group training has a two-month minimum. Decide with Jodi and Tavia: a one-month option, a program price, or copy that presents the second month as the next step.
Forms
- Every form carries hidden fields for program and source page, so we can track requests by page.
- Submissions notify Jodi. The person gets an automatic confirmation email that repeats the next steps.
- Free class form: first and last name, email, phone, member status, preferred club, preferred times.
- Ask Jodi form: first and last name, email, phone, member status, an optional goal.
Inside a session video
Each program page launches with a photo in the "Inside a session" slot. Later, a 15 to 30 second silent looping clip of a real session replaces it. No narration; Jodi's welcome on the home page is the only video people talk through.
Shoot stills and clips at the same session, using trainer get-together dates from Tavia. Shoot Move to Live More and TRX first.
The video markup is already on each program page, commented out. Un-comment it and add the file paths; the photo hides itself. It plays silently with no controls, and people who prefer reduced motion see only the poster frame.
Welcome video outline (about 90 seconds)
- Hello, I'm Jodi, and I lead group training at CA.
- What it is: a small group of eight at most, a certified coach, a plan that builds week to week.
- Why it works: attention, a plan, and people who notice when you show up.
- The four starting points, in plain words: new or coming back, staying strong without impact, strength you can scale, being pushed.
- Not sure? Send me a note and I'll match you.
- Your first class is on us. I'd love to see you there.
Proposed page addresses
Keep all four programs under the group training address so the section reads as one place. TRX currently sits at a different path; redirect it.
